Eight years ago, A.J. Juliani and I launched the Design a School on Mars challenge. This year, we decided to update the challenge with new supports and a new process based on what we have learned in our continued PBL and design thinking journey. We also have a new sketch video, updated slideshow, rotating reading activity, and a new Boost Book. It’s all part of the Boost PBL curriculum we have developed.
This is a fun, free opportunity that works great in the final weeks before the winter break. It’s hands-on, creative, and focused on student engagement, critical thinking, and creativity. The best part? It aligns with the NGSS and ELA standards.
So, join us!
If you do this challenge and want to share pictures of student products (with proper permissions), please use the hashtags #BoostPBL and #MarsChallenge
